Hello again,

Just an update from the previous e-mail. Some of us met to make an agenda for the meeting on Friday and have come away with some very important ideas and questions. I ask that all who can attend this meeting, please do! We may be looking at different options and maybe even change course from where we are currently. Also, the meeting has been moved next door to Lake Point Grille on Toronto Road to give us more room and comfort. Also remember that Jim is having an after meeting party, so that’s a little incentive not to miss!! We also talked about moving the meeting to 4:30 possibly, so if anyone has a problem with that please let me know via e-mail or text (217-737-1127). If you can’t make it at 4:30, it’s OK!! We can hang out and wait for you to show up to provide your insights and opinions. Hope to see everyone there, or at least here from you, Eric

Last years Brian McMillen Veterans Scholarship 5K Run

With Every ones support and help we raised $7000 dollars for the Brian McMillen Veterans Scholarship in the spring of 2008. This was a huge accomplishment and we could not be happier with the out come. There was 338 runners race day and 138 of them registered race day. The runners stuck with us even though the weather was not ideal. The memebrs of the club thank you for that. The club will also be donating the remaining water and T shirts to the American Red Cross to help with flood relief efforts. Thank you to all our supporters and members of the club and we hope to see you next year. Our goal is to raise enough money to get an endowment, that way the scholarship will remain and so will the spirit of Brian.

We hope to host and even better race for spring of 2009 and we hope to see you there.
